Psychedelic Integration

Psychedelic preparation and integration therapy in Bristol and online for people seeking support before or after experiences with psilocybin, LSD, NN-DMT, 5-MeO-DMT (Bufo), 2C-B, ketamine, ayahuasca and MDMA.

Psychedelics are totally weird, magical, joyful, playful, awe-inspiring, shocking and subversive. They can take us to the furthest reaches of ourselves, revealing experiences that feel profoundly healing, meaningful or transformative. Yet the very qualities that make psychedelics so powerful can also make them overwhelming, particularly if the experience took place in an unsafe environment or without adequate support. People can be left feeling distressed, destabilised or struggling to make sense of what happened.

Post-psychedelic difficulties can take many forms, including ongoing anxiety, intrusive thoughts, emotional overwhelm, depersonalisation, derealisation, or what is sometimes described as ontological shock: a profound difficulty reconciling an expanded psychedelic experience with previously held beliefs about oneself, reality or consciousness.

I welcome those looking for help integrating psychedelic experience in a focussed way, or as part of an open therapeutic process. I also offer EMDR which can help if you're left with anxiety or other psychosomatic symptoms following a difficult psychedelic journey.

I provide preparation work for psychedelic experiences. Being in therapy with someone trained in the field before and after can support you to get the most out of the experience. I am very interested in the question of how we can meaningfully use/apply/integrate the insights and experiences we have in expanded states towards positive change (if that's our intention), even when the experiences were difficult.

I hold a diploma in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy from The Institute of Psychedelic Therapy which built upon my personal fascination and relationship with psychedelics going back over three decades.

Please note that I do not provide any kind of substance-assisted therapy in the UK; I provide assistance to those who have had or are seeking their own psychedelic experiences.
